Alap Vora
Al Vora is a New York–based hospitality entrepreneur, retail operator, and small business advocate with deep experience building and scaling food and beverage concepts across the NY/NJ market.
Raised in a family business, Al was immersed in entrepreneurship from a young age. Working alongside family early on shaped his understanding of operations, customer relationships, financial discipline, and the realities of running a small business. That foundation continues to influence his hands-on leadership style and operator-first mindset.
A graduate of the George Washington University School of Business, Al combines formal business training with decades of real-world execution across hospitality and retail. His expertise spans restaurant and retail operations, lease negotiation, construction oversight, vendor management, compliance strategy, and financial optimization.
Al has represented New York small businesses at the White House Small Business Summits in 2015 and 2016, contributing to national discussions on entrepreneurship and economic growth. In 2024, he testified before the United States Senate on small business economic policy, advocating for independent operators and sustainable economic policies that support local businesses.
As a founding partner of JMJ Restaurant Consulting LLC, Al advises independent restaurant owners and retail operators on operational efficiency, profitability, strategic growth, and long-term enterprise value creation. Known for his disciplined financial approach and strategic negotiation skills, he brings both frontline operator experience and policy-level perspective to every venture.
Al believes strong systems, responsible financial management, and bold brand positioning are the foundation of lasting business success.
