Ricardo Bordes is a talented executive chef originally from Huesca, Spain, who infuses authentic Spanish culinary expertise and precision into New York City’s dynamic food scene, with over 12 years of experience in the culinary world. Trained at Bellart Culinary School, he honed his skills in Spanish cuisine at La Nacional restaurant on 14th Street in Manhattan and has also served as a consulting chef with JMJ.

Since joining Black Iron Burger as Executive Chef in 2020, he has sustained its reputation as a city favorite—previously named #1 Best Burger Joint by Zagat in 2017 and 2018, and topping TripAdvisor rankings from 2019 to 2022—through state-of-the-art grilling, premium all-natural, hormone- and antibiotic-free beef, and innovative Mediterranean-inspired flavors that blend his heritage with American classics.

Ricardo oversees menu development, costing, ingredient sourcing, and kitchen operations across the brand’s Manhattan and Brooklyn locations, with an unwavering commitment to fresh premium ingredients, operational excellence, and delivering memorable dining experiences rooted in tradition, innovation, and genuine hospitality.
